Scotland

Dominican Republic
In the massive new Cap Cana residential and vacation development in the Dominican Republic, the first of three Jack Nicklaus Signature courses, Punta Espada, is open, and a second, Las Iguanas, opens later in 2008. Hawaii
Just in time for summer vacations, Mauna Lani Resort on the Big Island of Hawai'i has opened a new, 9-hole Keiki Course designed for junior golfers and beginning players 18 years of age and under. Famous for the Francis H. I'i Brown North and South Courses, the resort makes a new commitment to families with the new par 33 layout. Players must have some knowledge of the game and be accompanied by an adult. Those who are just getting started in golf will enjoy private lessons and clinics before setting off on the Keiki; experienced juniors may play unaccompanied after being checked out by one of the golf pros. Both junior and adult rental clubs are available. Throughout the year, Mauna Lani Resort offers free clinics for kids, a Keiki Course family day and a summer Junior Golf program.

Florida
The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club has completed a $5 million, six month renovation of the Lagoon Golf Course, with new tees, fairways and greens, routing changes, new turf standards and improved irrigation and drainage--the formerly short course is now more than 6,000 yards long. Narrow, sloped and undulating fairways, 87 bunkers and water on eleven holes offer a stiff challenge. The Ocean Course is a seaside beauty with 99 bunkers and elevated greens washed by sea breezes. On 300 oceanfront acres with 217 rooms and 33 suites in low-rise buildings on the beachfront, the posh resort is one of only six 5-diamond rated properties in Florida.
