Long a top name in upscale golf tours, PerryGolf is offering Scottish Links and Single Malt Whisky expeditions on the western coast of Scotland, where distilleries are nearly as old as the game. Five rounds and private tours of working distilleries are on the exclusive itinerary, with golf on the Ailsa Course (site of the 2009 British Open) at the Westin Turnberry Resort; the picturesque Shiskine Golf Club at Blackwaterfoot; the magnificent Machrihanish on the southern tip of the Mull of Kintyre, and two rounds at The Machrie on the Isle of Islay, where Willie Campbell's original layout dates to 1891. Rancho Las Palmas Palm Springs
Celebrating a $35 million complete makeover of the resort, Rancho Las Palmas has teamed up with Club Corp of America to offer "Behind the Gates" access to some of the most sought after private golf clubs in the California desert. For groups of eight or more, the package includes accommodations at the newly renovated resort, a round of golf at Rancho Las Palmas Country Club and a round of golf at either Mission Hills Country Club, or Desert Falls Country Club. Other perks include unlimited replay rounds at each facility on the same day, a complimentary round of golf at Rancho Las Palmas on day of arrival, and tournament services upon request.

Among new additions at Rancho Las Palmas are Splashtopia, a two-acre water play feature with a lazy river, slides, pool and a beach; a leafy outdoor plaza; bluEmber restaurant and the stylish R Bar lounge. The resort has 27 holes of golf, a 25-court Burwash International tennis center, a destination spa and four swimming pools. The location can't be beat, across the street from The River, a bustling entertainment, dining and retail complex.
Mount Washington Resort New Hampshire
Scheduled to reopen in August, 2008, the Donald Ross-designed Mount Washington Course at Mount Washington Resort is being restored to the original plans of 1915 and upgraded to 21st century standards, part of a $7 million renovation of the entire golf complex. In the meantime, the 9-hole Mount Pleasant Golf Course, first opened in 1895, is ready for play along the banks of the Ammonoosuc River with views of the Presidential Mountain Range. An additional 18-hole course will open in 2010, a new full-service spa and conference center in 2009, and a complete facelift of the entire resort, which has new ownership. Extensive restoration has already been completed of the 900-foot wrap-around veranda, Great Hall and dining room. A legendary, year-round vacation destination amid nearly 800,000 acres of the White Mountain National Forest, the resort is anchored by the Spanish Renaissance-style Mount Washington Hotel; the Bretton Arms Inn, a restored Victorian Inn built in 1896; a family-friendly lodge and two-to-five-bedroom townhomes.

Killeen Castle Ireland
A whopping 7,600 yards long covering an area of 350 acres of pristine woodlands, a new Nicklaus Signature Course is about to open at Killeen Castle in County Meath. One of Ireland's oldest and finest 12th century Norman castles, the massive stone edifice has undergone years of meticulous restoration. The new Nicklaus track is already is stacking up the kudos and the tournaments, and will host the 2011 Solheim Cup. Europe's first Dave Pelz Scoring Game School is located here, also. Set within the historic grounds, The Residences at Killeen Castle offer country living just 35 minutes from Dublin International Airport. Underway is a 5-star Starwood Luxury Collection Killeen Castle hotel, which will be comprised of 180 rooms and a luxury spa; scheduled for opening in 2010.

Emirates Palace Middle East
The Emirates Palace and the Abu Dhabi Golf Club have put together a "Royal Experience" package that includes a leisurely breakfast at the Palace and Rolls Royce transfer to the golf club with VIP reception. Pros at the Golf Institute will then instruct golfers in swing techniques and other skills, and accompany them in a short practice game. After a gourmet lunch in clubhouse executive dining room, players will head for their round on The National with on-course transport by chauffeured, air-conditioned Rolls Royce golf carts stocked with chilled beverages, followed by après golf cocktails and presentation of a DVD of the day. Troon managed, the National Course has hosted the PGA European Tour and the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.
